Oliver Hospitality, a well-respected hotel and restaurant management company based in Nashville, has announced the appointment of Chris Delgado as the new General Manager of The Sarasota Modern, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. With an impressive track record of over 15 years in hotel management, Chris Delgado is set to bring his wealth of expertise in guest services, operations and hotel openings to this vibrant property. Located in Sarasota’s thriving Rosemary District, The Sarasota Modern is renowned for its iconic pool deck, two unique on-site dining concepts and close proximity to the stunning Lido Key Beach.
Chris Delgado’s career in hospitality has spanned over 15 years, during which he has honed his skills in various leadership roles. Prior to joining Oliver Hospitality, Delgado spent nearly two years at AvantStay, where he was instrumental in leading the opening of hotels in Nashville, including the launch of The Gilmore. His previous experiences also include a significant role in the opening of the Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown, where he served as General Manager. This wealth of experience in hotel openings and operations positions Delgado perfectly to oversee The Sarasota Modern’s day-to-day operations and ensure the continued growth of the guest experience.
Delgado’s extensive background in leadership, including his tenure at Omni Hotels & Resorts, where he held key roles such as Assistant Director of Rooms and Director of Front Office, further strengthens his ability to manage the complexities of a high-end property like The Sarasota Modern. His leadership skills and operational expertise will be essential as the hotel prepares for its exciting new phase, including the upcoming re-concepting of its restaurant, Wink Wink Food & Drink, set to debut in the fall of 2026.
As the newly appointed General Manager, Chris Delgado will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of The Sarasota Modern, including guest services, financial performance and team management. One of his key priorities will be ensuring a seamless launch of the re-imagined Wink Wink Food & Drink restaurant, which will offer a fresh take on mid-century glamour. This redesign reflects the property’s commitment to offering modern elegance and top-tier hospitality, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation as a key player in Sarasota’s hospitality scene.

Delgado’s love for hospitality extends beyond his professional achievements, as he enjoys exploring new cocktail bars, attending music festivals and, humorously, challenging himself to master golf on various courses.
