I’m so glad we decided to take this private tour of Acadia National Park. It was the perfect way to see all the highlights and we were so lucky to have David as our guide! He took us to all the places on our list (plus some) — managing to do it at the best time to avoid the crowds as well as finding a parking spot close to whatever it was we wanted to see. He was friendly, accommodating (always willing to take photos of us— and he’s really good at it!), funny and very knowledgeable of the area, sharing lots of stories and insights that we would never have known about if we were on our own. And the fact that he and my husband shared the same love of music made our conversations even more fun and enjoyable. Thank you David…wishing you all the best!!

We went on the 4 hour tour with Sarah as our guide on Oct 3rd and really enjoyed it! It was our first full day in the area and we wanted to get a good overview. This worked out well because the tour allowed us to easily and quickly figure out the areas we were and weren’t interested in revisiting. Sarah is very warm and friendly and we really enjoyed the tour with her - she did a great job! Highly recommend.

Bill was our guide and he was a master in his trade! He was very personable and his knowledge of the area was bar none! He studies and reads books about the area, the culture, the home owners, the community, etc. He knew all the special places to tour, all of the ways to get around other tourists to ensure we could view the overlooks and he was very flexible with our tour, ensuring we did everything we wanted to do. Bill had a great sense of humor, he had snacks and water to keep us happy and he gave us recommendations of where to eat and what to see afterwards.

My wife and I spent 4 hours on a private tour with Bill. I highly recommend you request him. He could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. The tour was awesome. There are so many scenic locations and wonderful history, I couldn’t imagine seeing the sites any other way.

We cannot express enough how much we loved our private tour of Acadia! We were only in town for a couple of days so this tour was the perfect way to see all of the highlights that Acadia has to offer. Our tour guide, Grant, was incredible and so knowledgeable about the history of Bar Harbor and Acadia! He was able to answer all of our questions and taught us so much about the area! He even took us to one of his favorite bakeries from when he was child and the blueberry doughnut was fantastic! I highly recommend this service to anyone visiting Acadia!!

Our guide, Kathie, was wonderful. She was a "local" and an encyclopedia on ANP and the surrounding region. My companion and I really enjoyed her company on our tour. We had a great experience and would do this again in a heartbeat. We loved the way she said "Bah Haba." Kathie was well organized and made sure we saw what we were interested in. The tour was worth every dime but it was our guide who made it a great success.

Bill Thurston was our guide today for a four hour tour of Acadia National Park. What a fabulous experience!!! We were disappointed that it was foggy and raining but Bill made our experience special. He was a wealth of information, a had a great sense of humor, and he listened to all of interests. In Bill we trust!

I rarely write reviews, but wanted to acknowledge what a great tour this is and what an awesome guide Grant is. The park, of course, is amazing, but there is so much to see that I highly recommend taking a guided tour at the outset of your visit to give you a good overview. Our guide, Grant, was very personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. We’ve used several guides when traveling, and Grant is one of the best we’ve ever had. His enthusiasm for, and love of, the park is infectious. Kudos!!

This was a great tour to see the major sights of Acadia and Bar Harbor. Bill was an amazing tour guide who showed us around, gave us such insight into the area, history, and hilarious stories. Highly recommend!

After being the skeptic, my wife and I had a spectacular experience with Bill T. The tour was energetic, informative, entertaining and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We have been to Maine before and to Bar Harbor. After we were done with the tour, we got to experience the other 90% of what the area was all about. Bill T is a guaranteed excellent experience. I started the day with a guide and truly believe we ended the day with a friend. Bill spends his off time studying the area and continues to invest in his own value as a guide. If there is any question, just do it!!!!!!
